There is an adapter you can buy that several people say works well - usb to serial plug which will link your lappie to the box. Hope it works - Brain

you should have received the drivers on a small disk with the usb adapter

    but try this link _http://www.gilsson.com/usb_drivers_download.htm

or try the attached file below , but its worth bearing in mimd that most flavours of windows 7 have trouble with these adapters to flash boxes and you are recommended to use vista or better still xp

    Hi munir,

Plug in USB Adapter, Goto Device Maneger, Pors (COM)
If Laptop has detected your USB adaper its name will be in the list.
Double click it, click port settings, Advanced, go down to (Com port number)
Set Com to na unused Number.

If not there you need a new Driver, whats the name of your Adapter.

I was in the same posistion with USB convertor plug to pair to my Technomate 5400 usb Super to laptop to work HDVB.
I reinstalled XP operating system and the device runs well.
There was a disk provided with this device I purchased.

I am sure someone will come on here and telll you different but honestly, I could not get High Speed USB 2.0 to Serial RS232 Adapter Convertor plug to work with Windows 7 Ultimate.
May be worth thinking about picking up an old laptop with XP installed.

Some of the cheaper ones struggle with newer windows and 64bit. What platforms did it say on the listing it supported?
