tryed everything cannot get it on my hard drive ican see my hd and recorded on it got newmiga v 3 0 4 on db in flash

First you need to Install barry Allen or Meo Boot !
Then with Dcc Enigma2, go to "Tools" and you can install it.
But don't forget that your Hdd will be On all the Time.

dont seem to be able to get this working have put ipk file into tmp file thru dcc by ftp and it doesnt find the file just says no file found

Try to put the file on the root, and file must be unrared.
Also try with menu -> setup -> software magement -> install local extension -> internal flash

thanks for your help mate, yes its unrared ive tried it in the root it detects the file and says successfully installed but doesnt appear anywhere on plugs ins or on blue button

You need a complet reboot mate, for the addons, after installed, no need to a complet reboot !
Just go to blue panel and you should get the addons with softcams.

Had another play around with this image today and finally managed to work out what to do- for anyone that needs help with installing cccam on this, this is what I did.

1- download image from this thread
2- download this https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?p=783707 and install to root, didnt work in temp- changed attribute to 755 on Dreambox control centre
3 go into software management on image and install local extension, run the file stored in root
4 dreambox will reboot with added menu, called new menu
5 -Go into new menu and install Gemini plugins and GP3, reboot dreambox, gemini plug in now on blue button
6- Press blue button, go into gemini menu and Download which cccam you require (I used 2.2.1)
7- paste cccam.cfg to etc through dreambox control centre
8- go to common interface menu and change to cam you installed- press green to start cam, restart enigma 2

Should all be up and running. Just thought id write how I did it to save someone the hours it took me to get up and running- great image by the way, much prefer to newnigma which I had running previously

So I managed to get it all up and running but now cannot get epg working. On previous images I have used xmltv plug in and cool tv guide because I like them. I installed the xmltv plug in through new menu and restarted Dreambox. Whenever I now go into plug ins I get a message saying cannot start all plugs ins there is a problem with extensions/epg import no module called gzip. Anyone tried installing and got this message- or does anyone know what the problem is and how I can get around it- any help on this greatly appreciated. Also I removed it and installed crossepg which I have never used before but thought I would give it a go. When I start cross epg, it comes up saying loading and with address on screen then goes off after a minute and nothing happens. It doesnt give me the choice to select sats I wish to install epg etc for.

I dont really want to use crossepg just thought I would give it a go and see if I could pull the epg that way. Can anyone help with this xmltv plug in issue? I have downloaded rytecchannels.xml.gz from rytec.be and ftp'd to etc/epg import but still get the message. Am i ftping this to the right place and any other help much appreciated.
