I might be wrong m8 but you've doomed only jtag can help in that case. look for "azbox hd jtag" thread. there are docs but they are quite tricky and you have to know how to solder. hope somebody more experienced than me helps you. sorry
Hello,
Please describe precisely the steps that you performed before you get this problem.
If it get the problem just after in the upgrade screen you select 1. Upgrade USB then yes only jtag can help because bootloader is wrongly written so no rescue mode is possible.
If it is while you start AzUP then normally the bootloader is correct.
Try perhaps to power off / power on completely with the back switch your Azbox.

It is just as box is started "booting " is displayed no rescue mode
looks like jtag or trash to me
Hello,
Please read and answer my question:
"Please describe precisely the steps that you performed before you get this problem."

plug in usb with az patch bin standard firmware
start box
display shows POWER ON > BOOTING >hangs.
before I tried to flash "E2_1.0.21_elite_premium" but flashing stalled @ 9 % would no go any farther
before that i tried to install E2 flashed OK and got blank screen was able to flash back to kdg 4890 using rescue mode and AZUP
just hangs on BOOTING now
Try it with other USB stick.
Seems pr2 wites in some unreadeble language??
Here we need a answer was that 9% during:
1 - first initial install from usb stick
2 - or was it with AzUp
And then your answer:
In case off 1 the bootloader is corrupted and you need jtag
In case off 2 resque mode is possible
I am afraid first install from usb stick of E2Here we need a answer was that 9% during:
1 - first initial install from usb stick
2 - or was it with AzUp
is there an English version of jtag instructions
I have the same probleme ,
doring flashing with e2 the box is hang by 55% , and don't moving any more
i make the mistake and turned off ,
after that my azbox elite is only in booting mode .
any solution ?
W.B.R
Guys, there is 2 type of "install" for E2,
-first one is over standard UPDATE screen and it's only flashing new linux kernel 2.6.22 over old one 2.6.15 , so if this is where you stuck on flash, there is no need for jtag ,just serial interface and then over YAMON bootloader reflashing kernel.
-Second "install" over Azup it's just install to DOM. So if first "install" go okey you should not stuck on BOOTING.
Advice !!!
Before trying E2, disable hardware acceleration with these writing procedures in Nor-Flash memory or DOM ...
Best regards ...
Sounds good Ripper problem started when I tried to install E2 in got stuck flashing
If you reply properly to my very simple question we can tell us if this sounds good or not:
So now you have to choose between answer 1 or 2.
Answer 1:
I was in upgrade Menu (official firmware upgrade menu), I select 1. upgrade USB and during the flash it fails
Answer 2:
I upgrade successfully my Azbox with the upgrade menu (official firmware menu) then I went to recovery mode, I saw the IP address and it is when I start the flash with Azup.exe that it fails.
Answer 3:
Sorry I don't know what I was doing but I have got failed during flash. That's all I remember. And now my Azbox no longer boot.
So please select between answer 1 , 2 or 3.
I hope this time I am clear enough for you.

answer 1 pr2
official firmware upgrade menu selected E2 to flash to
flash failed/hang at 9%
Hi,
Then bad news you have no other solution than the one described by The_Ripper, you need to find the right serial cable to be able to flash Yamon with a valid bootloader.
Because your Azbox has no way to flash any firmware now nor E2, nor the official one, Yamon needs to be repaired first.

thanks all
some thing like this then found on FLEABAY
The MAX232CPE is an RS-232 driver/receiver intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V 28/V 24 communications interfaces, and in particular, for those applications where a +12V is not available.
The MAX232CPE is particularly useful in Battery-powered systems, since their low-power shutdown mode reduces power dissipation to less than 5uW.
Features
Operates from single +5V power supply.
Meet all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28 specifications.
Two drivers and two receivers.
3-state driver and receiver outputs.
Data rate 120 (kbps)
Can this be sent any where to be fixed out of warranty
got rs232 but can't get it going, how do you use yamnon ?
@jimmyjim11: Still the same problem with recovery?
Which is the size of you FAT formated usb stick?
I hab a similar problem with one with the vfat only 100MB in size. It needs more then that. Use one with eg. 256 MB and it should work.
If you check the stick after 'crash' you should see the left size if you put it back to a PC.
