CCCam installation - plugin starting error

    Hi mates,
I have an issue: After copying plugin files to var/bin and var/etc I switched off the receiver, but then-->

    - I cannot switch on/off the plugin in menue-->RED
    - internal reader is off (menue-->CAS-->1704)
    - receiver restarted by remote swith off/on

What do I need to do now to get plugin running?
    Please help asap

Its seems that most people on here including myself are using Xcam as the prefered client plugin.

That may be the reason why you have had no response.

Why don't you give Xcam a go?

I would suggest you use the kinkdink v1.4 loader to install cccam , xcam and any softcam you require , that way you know its been done properly and that you are using the correct files as well

you should then be able to use cccam by starting it in the control panel , although xcam seems to work better

    PIN Code is 1407
    NOT 1704

What version firmware are you running?
I recommend upgrading firmware to latest version.

Ice Installer V1.4 has been updated today with the new MCAS & XCAM files.

thanks for this info. will try this. But during entering the IP address I am getting error. I cannot enter "." like 192.168.1.61
when I am entering without "." like 192168161 then I am getting error
    socket error 11004

    my questions:
    1. how can I enter IP address in the correct way?
    2. is there a rule I need to follow? what do I need to install first? CCcam 2.14? then incubusCamd 0.97-b`?
    3. can I copy the files via FTP to the box from PC? or better to use the ICE Installer?

You should be able to enter the . key
I can enter the IP address 192.168.1.61 no problem.

What operating system are you using?

Are you using a standard QWERTY keyboard?

I don't have WIN7 so I sent the Ice Installer to a mate who has WIN7 64 Bit Home edition and he can enter the IP address including the "." key without any problem.

So I'm not sure what else I can advice you mate, sorry.

Can someone else using WIN7 32 bit test and report back please?

No problem here (Windows7 32-bit Ultimate) and working as it should. However, if leoalex can type the IP in a text editor (i.e. Notepad) then copy and paste it in the app, then the issue should be solved. Just an idea.

Just a thought - try entering all 12 diigts ie. for "1" enter "001". In your case 192.168.001.061.

put the ip address of the box in the ip section , including the full stops

ie:- 192.168.0.10 if the box was on ip 10

put something in the password box too ( anything will do )

    then try it

and yes the kinkdink v1.4 installer works fine in xp 32 bit and win7 32 bit

the problem is that I cannot put .
    but "," is working.

maybe this is because of the system language german?

Yes I see the problem now. I understand the keyboard layout is slightly different on German keyboards, I'll fix that in the next release.

this is the first time you mentioned using german instead of english

surely there is a . on the german keyboard somewhere ? ( those commas in your image wont work )

    more details are here _http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258668

alternatively , can you not switch to english keyboard while you do the job as a workaround ?

or even copy and paste an ip address from here into notepad , and then just change the numbers leaving the dots alone ?

ie:- copy and paste this address and then change the numbers to match your box ip address

    192.168.000.002 or 192.168.178.61 or 192.168.1.61
