felt spooky when i looked on it, the chap next door died and he,s on it.

considering how little sun we have in this country,it must have taken them ages to phograph everywhere whilst it was sunny.
its very impressive though, ive already used it a number of times with my job.ian.

Wish now i had put my new gate on alot earlier, walked down my avenue on Google Maps turned to look at my Bungalow, it looked good in the summer sunshine with all the Shrubs in full bloom apart from my crumby old home made gate i built some 20years before to keep the dog in. Suppose they will update again in about 3 years time.

The above Daily Telegraph url shows a sample map to accompany their instructions below. I did a cut N paste job for this so the map has not been reproduced here.

The images above provide step by step instructions on how to use Google Street View.
* Go to Google Maps at maps.google.co.uk
* Zoom in on a major city.
* Drag the yellow man icon from the left hand side onto the map. (Highlighted in Red above).
* Any street highlighted blue has an available street level view.
* You will see a small preview of the view in a speech bubble on the map.
* Drop the icon at the point you want to view from and you will switch to the 3D image.
* Use the map in the lower left corner to navigate, and use the mouse to pan the main image around. The arrow icons let you move around at street level.
* The tools on the left hand side allow you to zoom in on the image as well as control the exact angle and direction you wish to view.
* At launch Google Street View only includes major cities in the UK and many locations will not be available.
UK cities covered so far
Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, S****horpe, Sheffield, Southampton, Swansea and York.

Just to add,
Google maps will continue to update maybe every 3-5 years
but in 50 years time you will have the information at hand to walk down a street and look at it 50 years ago!
You maybe wearing glasses and walk down a street and simply click the years by!
what I would give to look back to the 1950s & 60s
worth a thought!
