Hisense 1080p media player \ .ts files

does anyone have any experience with this device?

i need something that plays back an HD .ts file - recorded from my Fortec Passion.

i need it to play an edited .ts of arounf 14Gb.

the raw stream is a .ts (and its the usual .h264 or whatever its called)

my xbox won't play em, and my pc, is too slow theseday bless it.

You could always go for a nvidia Ion product and run XBMC Live or XBMC linux as both of those support hardware decoding (VDPAU) so the 9400 gpu on the ion does all the work not the cpu

Or you can use MPC-HC which uses DXVA hardware decoding or CoreAVC which uses CUDA hardware decoding

You don't need a powerful cpu if you have a graphics card that can use DXVA or CUDA under windows or VDPAU under linux

Lots of people are using XBMC on Acer Revo and running 1080p which are around £150 for some models my personal choice would be an Asrock Ion 330 but its more expensive

hi mate, yeah been looking into them funnily enough, they look to be a winner, especially at £70- with excellent support.
