Urgent. MIO 268+ stuck in boot screen!

    Hi guys,

I hope there is someone in here that can help me with this problem.
I was trying to upgrade my gps with the miomap v.3. I flashed it first with the patch from mio web site (patch for mio 268 with hitachi screen), went well.
Then I started trying various v.3 maps by putting them into a 2gb sd card and despite not recognizing the maps in the sd-card, it was booting up.

However, during one of these trials and after a reset it just wont get passed the boot screen (with mio digiwalker in the top left corner and a countryside wallpaper).

I tried to load the original v2 miomap from my original mio cd but the uploader can't find the usb connection. Have also tried miotransfer utility with no luck. Miotransfer hack won't install because it needs mut.dll which I can't find anywher, its not even on the original cd.

So... I am realy stuck with this problem. Been reading the similar topics in other forums for the past few days, found nothing similar to my problem.

    Please help if you can.

    Thanks in advance.

maxhum m8, thanks for the file. however my problem is not the mut.dll as the miotransfer hack is not suppose to be working with 268+:blush5:.

My main problem is how to get it to go passed the first boot screen (with orange mio digiwalker logo in the top left hand corner of a country side wallpaper).

Do you know what is wrong with it???

    Thanks again

Thank you maxhum for the swift reply. I've downloaded the program. However, the site is in a language which I dont understand.

The readme file says something about letting the program know where the regedit is!!!

As I am a complete newbie, could you tell me what exactly should I do with this program?

    Thanks again m8:respect-064:.

ARRRRRGG! it doesn't react at all to the sd card!!!!

I did exactly as described in the readme file (those three files in nthe root of the sd card, powered up from the back while holding down the vol. up and flag bottons at the same time), but no response from the fooking device.

I swear I will throw it out of the window if it wont get fixed soon:beatdeadhorse5:.

I think the reason is that I have uploaded wrong miomap.exe into the device which I might not have the license for!!

Now I need to remove/replace it with the original one, then try to unluck it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

first you can better check this out.

You need a patch to work with igo8 or other soft:

    h**p://eu.mio.com/en_gb/support_detail.php?id=367&lang=en

When v3 ist ok! then try again maybe it solve your probs also
