    tv volume

    is there any way i can lock a tvs volume so as it doesnt go above a certain level phillips 42" lcd

    Depends on the model...
    In the service menu probably if it has a Hotel mode.
    Deeper stuff you need to talk to Philips tech for the special codes..and there have been some to stop amps self destructing

    look in the Philips manual for (volume) (save) settings:
    • Auto Volume Leveller (AVL)
    • Volume per preset

    most likely you can program the sound level for each preset and even likely for the AV input channel (scart, cinch, hdmi, ...
