    4:2:2 feeds... It Works!!!

    Hi,

I am not sure if this has been covered before but I tried to view some feeds broadcast in 4:2:2 format and I can only hear the sound but bo videos.

Does the AzBoxHD clear 4:2:2 feeds and how?

EDIT: To answer to my own question.. It works

After you scan the frequency, go to the channel list and press edit on the channel and change the flag to HD and it clears it...

are you sure the feed is actually 4.2.2 and not 4.2.0 would be nice if the unit would work on this format

    I tried this feed

    Eutelsat W3A (7.0°E)
    Fréquence: 10981 - Pol: H - SR: 13333 - FEC: 7/8
    Catégorie: Newsfeed
    Transmis en: MPEG-2 4:2:2
Infos: NATO Summit - Heads of State and Government@Strasb

I comes up as service 1, service 2 and service 3

Just go into the channel list and change the flag as HD and it clears...

    Don't know about DVB-S2

By the way, is blind scan already working with the last firmware?

With a fast and accurate blind scan and 4:2:2 this receiver will be great for feedhunters

    Thanks.

There is no blind scan yet on receiver... probably future releases. As it will be perfect then!

    Just tried this frequency

    Intelsat 905 (24.5°W)
    Fréquence: 11622 - Pol: V - SR: 5632 - FEC: -
    Catégorie: Sport - Golf
    Transmis en: MPEG-2 4:2:2
    Infos: Golf Estoril

It's showing a blue colored chart something like "Portugal 2009"

and the following is currently not showing any signal at all

    Intelsat 905 (24.5°W)
    Fréquence: 11645 - Pol: V - SR: 14062 - FEC: -
    Catégorie: Sport - Golf
    Transmis en: MPEG-2 4:2:2
Infos: European Tour Golf: Estoril Open in HDTV/Dvb-s2

    Will try more later

Interesting. According to the spec, the video decoder only runs MPEG2 in Main Profile level@HL (4:2:0), as do most domestic STB's.

Great news about the 4.2.2 feeds but does it work out the box or with updated s/w?

Also, does it handle NTSC, for use in the USA / North America?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

It does 4:2:2 out of the box but there is not yet a blind scan function, so you need to know all the parameters, enter then manually then you will get the picture.

    Yes Azbox does support NTSC.
