To timishift just press yellow key.

It is not fully functional because as e2 cant play TS files, the timeshift file cant also play.

But after timeshift you will see a file in the HDD and see the HDD recording the file.

When I press the red boton, I get this error: "No HDD found or HDD not initialised".
By the way I tried to initialise my 1TB passport usb HDD from menu many times but no succeed.... every time i get this error:"unable to initialize harddisk. Error: Mount failed"
The most strange thing is that I can play files from that usb hdd on mediaplayer? So what did I do wrong?

first you should mount it manually.

Elite - RC3 fix:
Problems with HD channels not showing and no audio when they do load. Switching back and forth between SD & HD channels will eventually load the HD channel/audio.

Also, since firmware change (from original F/W), Elite can no longer see/access Win7 PC/directories, and Windows Media Player no longer sees the box - all was OK before firmware change. Maybe I just haven't set something correctly...

For you to have access to files in azbox from windows you need samba, that is not integrated in RTI core image.

Only DSteam has that option on a plugin.

Can you see codified chanels ?

If you dont have CS or external USB for card reading you dont have acces to encoded chanels.

Please say what you have or dont have.

I understand that, I don't need access to the files, I simply wish to stream movies from Win7 PC to the AZ Box, but the box doesn't see the PC/Shared directories.

On the original firmware, there was an option to access the network for media files, but I don't see the option in this GUI. From the AZ Box media player, I only see an option for External storage, or internal flash, no option for Network... am I looking in the wrong place?

Yes i have CCcam and i see all channels.
but only record fine the FTA chanels

RC3 (and earlier do not have the Domain name set to "Workgroup". Instead the Domain name "Dream" is used. This will cause a windows PC that belong to the Domain Workgroup not to see the Azbox.

You can change the Azbox domain name in the file /etc/samba/smb.conf

You can "mount" shared folder by windows on yor E2 system that way:
add to the fstab on your /etc folder one or more lines like this, one for each mount:

\\\\<WINDOWS-IP>\\<WINDOWS-SHARE> /media/music   cifs       username=user,pass=password              0 0

before rebooting the system make the destination folder (in this sample /media/music)
