Wow, Filmnet and Teleclub - all those D2Mac memories!
Attachment 65255
TV1000 was previously transmitted using D2-MAC and encrypted with the EuroCrypt encryption system. It was available originally via the Astra 1A satellite

fimnet, tv1000 and the tv3's. ah the memories.
D2Mac seemed to have this mega vivid colour compared to the old analogue vid!

Some good memories there
regards mobley2
the good old days tv 1000 filmnet what were the channels called on I west there began with k I cant remember what there were called
Yes there were 'Kiosk' on 1W and 'Kiosque' on 19E (French of course!)
that's the one there were a few of them
I remember manually moving my old amstrad dish to 45W and picking up The discovery channel/The learning channel. It only broadcast for a few hours a day, but what a thrill that was.
If I remember correctly, it didn't have a channel logo, just basic print.
I remember fox sports on 43 west and the military feed on 30 west a then some boay went on the news to show every one then it went encripted
ScreenSport - FTA on 19E. Owned by WHSmiths I think.
CineCinema 16/9 I think it was on 8W in D2MAC
I remember most of these channels when the sky box only had 16 channels, where got one of the early amstrad srd400 with 48 channel capacity. I remember that astra launched a new sat and our receiver could not pick the frequency up so I went down the market and got a frequency expander. I had to wire it into one of the live pins on the scart plug.
Heres another for you ...

wigan13:respect-058:
RTL Radio on 19E is still there I think.
In the early days (circa 1990) RTL1440 radio which broadcast the UK version of Radio Luxembourg at night. It couldn't have had many listeners back then because I responded to a phone-in quiz and got through. The prize was only a CD which I wasn't that fussy about but offspring liked it.
Tutti frutti anyone?
Remember Tutti Frutti, fun program, you could watch it and not feel guilty.
regards mobley2
They always seemed to be having a fun time dancing around - and giving us a good time watching!! lol!!
Tutti Frutti - Hugo Egon Balder - chin, chin
Also with the highly appropriately named Titziana.
It had a short period of broadcasting in red/blue type 3D.
Yes I had them too!!! looked forward to Fri nights.
Did not have a clue what the rules were!!!
Sorry to lower the tone of things....RED HOT DUTCH!!!!!!
Red Hot Dutch - I had the sat system. Me and 2 mates shared the subscription costs and shared the cost of 100 VHS tapes. I recorded 2 nights on each tape, so 800 hours of filth between the 3 of us. HAPPY DAYS.
Anybody remember S~y channel at 13 deg, the same position as Hotbird before the original Astra sat at 19 deg was launched. I loved its Paris to Dakar coverage. I think there was a channel on 1 deg or 5 deg called canal plus gul. To receive it you needed a big dish modified feed with a depoloriser.
Those were the top days of sat for me.
Ha;such fond memories! There was loads of free filth if you looked. Remember PG on Sirius (5east) or my favourite at the time Alpengluhen on Astra 19 east? German softcore where all the male stars had moustaches and mullets and all the women had Margaret Thatcher type hairdos and clothes. All gone now......
