If 50% of current subscribers were to cancel their subs then Murdock would have to take stock of the situation and maybe come up with a compromise.
I can't imagine any of these changes affect that many people...but it would be an interesting gauge as to how widespread cs was/is...Quote:

Surely the logic is - as Sly probably expect/hope - that MORE, not LESS people will have to mega reluctantly SIGN UP to Sly, with the ongoing apparent demise of cs - rather than the reverse?
Thankfully the football season was almost finished when this came about those in the Premier League will be okay on other channels abroad, unlike the championship. Would have thought the advertising companies will not be so happy with Sly as they lose a lot of free advertising via cs. We just have to hope more broadcasters will not follow Sly! It seems UK tv customers have to pay for everything, I watched the big boxing fight on RTL which was free to air across the channel.

Its the first time in about 4 years that i have moved my dish off 28east but cant seem to find much on there now to watch I expect most providers all used paired boxes of some kind or other?

I dont think its changed a great deal if you have a motorised dish. The footies out there.. just not with english commentary.Theres all the movies you could want as well with kodi and free iptv apps.
And there are the feeds if you really want english commentary.

I use it often on Foreign Sat Channels. Ive modded mine to get rid of the annoying Paypal nag too. Not into plugin writers adding that type of thing one little bit.

I've read elsewhere that its just a simple tweak in Oscam that will fix this. I assume they are waiting till Sly stop messing about, I'm sitting cosha anyway as I have a Vu+Turbo. I'm glad I added it to my Vu+ as all is well and in HD its worth the money and worth thinking about.

In many ways, I'm glad share-o-vision is coughing its last few breaths.
It was cool and exciting to begin with, but ultimately, it never really had anything to do with the satellite TV hobby. It made us all fat and lazy. And fat.
Only the exclusive few were privvy to the inner workings of the CS cams - everybody else just leached the **** out of it on a scale never seen before. I know that's always been a thing, but at least when you had to patch together your own key files, and scramble round the internet for bits and bobs on a Saturday morning to get the football in the afternoon you had to burn off a few mental calories.
Will we ever see another old-school encryption hack or new-school HW pairing hack? Maybe. Where there's brass there's muck. If someone can make some money, then maybe. Until then, I'll let rip with the WD40 on my motor and be happy about it.

They are broadcast in english & Polish as part of the NC+ & Cyfrowy Polsat packages on 13 East
Also add SkyLink HD (Czech) 23.5 East to the list too
Plus there are loads of channels that carry dual languages
Yes Eurosports 1 & 2 HD Always worked fine on my NC+ Sub card with ENG Audio for Tennis and Snooker etc..:D
BBC Earth , BBC Lifestyle , BBC Brit and CBeebies HD all good too
for me with my NC+ Sub and Feedhunting i'll still be as always watching Sly HD TV content either Via Feeds or via IPTV
so for me no loss whatsoever just more cash in my pocket and none in Murdock's pockets : ))

i do not expect to see BT Sports or ITV HD channels or BoxNation or EIR Sport making any changes whatsoever .
All other channels will go dark however probably on Thursday i suspect : ))

And new card has sweet nothing to do with anything that is 100% for certain as i know quite a few new subscribers that are STILL being issued old version White Cards .
The change that was made has been as mentioned many times -> iCAM ...and/OR post processing of which most likely requires hardware upgrade of which will never happen due to possible copyright laws and also unkown algo's etc.. probably a lot more complex than we will ever be able to understand .
