ka band lnb

had another go today and can receive it at 44% just east of Swansea, thats on a channel master 1.2, the lnb was moved as far forward as possible in the bracket to get the strongest signal.

either the receiver or lnb seems very fussy one or the other shuts down if i select a ku band channel then go back to one of the rte channels i get no signal on them , takes a while then for them to come back on unsure why.

but at least it is possible in this area.

Just had a new 1.2m channel master dish fixed on 9 east,all the rte channels are coming in.Signal is strong 75% here in Swansea.

im only a few miles from you , you say fixed at 9 east that just for the rte channels 75%.

seems a very big difference if you quoting the ka band channels.

Yes the dish is fixed at 9 east signal is around 75%,for the rte channels ka band.

thats not bad then , i know the signal fades off further out , if you getting 75% did you really need the 1.2 seems a waste fixed for is it still 5 channels

Six tv channels on there rte one,rte two hd,rte news now,tg4,rte jr,rte one+1,and ten rte radio stations.

wont argue over 1 :)

There are some good channels on there too be fair.

what lnb you got on there ?

thanks i cant even recall the lnb i got , ill look tomorrow as it was before Christmas last year i tested mine.

You might get a better signal,if you are going too try it again.

yeah it may well have changed as a long time ago.

yeah that seems a big signal improvement , perhaps next week may have a play about as off on holiday weather permitting.

just had a play about 60% the best i can get but still a improvement in signal from last time i tested, i guess few more miles down the road possibly pyle bridgend the signal will be gone.

Do you think tv3 and 3e will every join 9 east.
