Finally, it seems that a stable enigma 2 has arrived to my azbox :-)
But do anyone know if there are any plans about DVB-T support? (mpeg-4)

btw: after a movie reaches 100% it just stops in last frame, could u make it go back to mediaplayer previous menu please?

BTW: FTP speed using azbox connected via cable to router, and my laptop via wireless N.
Transferred 1 file totaling 90,02 MB in 12,70 seconds (7,12 MB/s) :) beats the crap outta azbox original firmware speed.

I really cant wait for a release that supports both dvbt and dvbs tuner without problems.

Very nice to hear. If you wait a little (for like 10 seconds or so) it still stays at last frame?

Otherwise i will check and try to fix. But this is not priority. First trying to get dvd playback fixed. with audio streams and subtitles etc. After that maybe look into the srt subs, as they do seem to get pushed but not shown yet.

if i wait 10 seconds i don't get menu either, i tried over a minute :)

btw, about black bars, why are they removed? some movies become very stretched after that.

if u need beta tester i am available for whatever u need :)

I dont know why they are removed. I think they are just not in the movie but need to be put there. I believe this has always been an issue with dreambox video playing.

Maybe you can read around some forums to see if dreamboxes have similar issues

Yes i think autoresolution was the plugin, not sure if it works. Could be the video driver first needs to be extended to allow for video mode changes.

they should not have much effect i think. srt subtitles seem to be pushed through framebuffer device in dreambox e2.

yes they are.
i had a dm800 using dream-elite and i could use .srt subtitles. (external) in mkv or avi.
Or i could use internal subtitles inside mkv container.

Audio channels i dunno.

BTW: I googled it! black bars are enigma2 problem, or...were.
I read if i set the option 16:9 just scale we will get it right.
But i don't think GUI options for a/v are working.

Is 1080p or at least 1080i signal supported by the E2 firmware ?

I can't take more then 720p from HDMI even if I use the 1080i setting .!!!

I also think that image quality if much worst than the image from original firmware.

It seems that The_Ripper has written a better driver for the SMP863x than Sigma Designs :)

OSD/GUI settings in a/v settings menu aren't working. u gotta do that manually.

sattomy i tried now a 38 mb/s mkv and ac3 sound
the killa.sample.mkv ( the one with a million birds flying around)
i get no sounddrops and image is ok.....but, at first seconds i get many many pixelization.

i noticed the diference from other clips were because this .mkv is kinda old and it's level 5.1 .. i know this level sucks and should be 4.1.

do u think u could do something to improve this or should we only use 4.1 level? (since nowadays, releases are always 4.1)

i might be able to fix this. need to test later.

You can adjust the keymap.xml of the mediaplayer to check if skip pause etc are working, cause i have no idea ;-)

ok changed level to 4.1, same stuff happens. this is really old, not even dxva works in my pc. i get same exactly pixelization as in azbox enigma2.

then there is no need for the fix, cause this would patch it down to 4.1 But videos like these are rare so doesnt matter.

Do you need to install seperate plugin for subtitles on dreambox?

yeah, forget this. we don't need this. i googled it a bit and noticed many users saying it's a bad encode and wrong level and old sample.

i tested a much hard and eavier one and it worked flawless. nevermind this.

regarding subtitles i don't think we need to install a plugin to play .srt subtitle files.
since kathrein and dm800 (dream-elite image) plays them if they have same name as movie.
movie.avi
movie.srt

in kathrein we press "text" and in dm800 if i remember if we press text (i think this is the step) a simple menu pops up to open the subtitle file we want. but i really can't tell you 100% how it works, i don't really remember (if some user wants to pop up :) )

but, no i never installed any plugin for this. but my bet goes in pressing TEXT

My USB stick is still pluged in Azbox, and I didnt receive any IP on VFD.

What to do now, any help is appreciated.

u gotta be more especific, did u turn off and on, removed usb and such. try everything before.

probably your dhcp server doesnt reach the azbox, check lan cable and dhcp (auto ip) in your router.

You do not get a ip if you are connected wireless.
I got stuck at Rescue Mode. I tried AZUp 1.1 without luck.
Then i I plugged in the cable, and everything worked fine

I followed new Telesat Readme.txt for installing, step by step.

I) You have Official FW in your AZBox andyou want to install E2 Switch off AZBox Put usb stick with patch.bin (e2) switch on AZBox Follow messages on GUI for update official FW (standard procedure) After about 1 min , your receiver will reboot Dont remove USB Stick from AZBox !!! wait for IP adress on VFD of AZBox

And I havent received IP adress, my box directly go to rescue mode. om VFD is displayed RESCUE MODE?.

What to try next?

P.S. also i formated my stick in FAT32

I didnt change the skin. Is the default.

I could choose the subtitle clicking the "check" botton. There I could choose subtitle and audio track.

nothing RESCUE MODE? is still present on VFD.

Also i tried three diferent usb stick and diferent usb ports on AZ.

sattommy in azbox hd enigma2 subtitle option appears pressing "aux" in azbox hd remote :)
so we can chose subtitles. check it out please.
