I was flicking through the channels the other night and watched maybe 10-15 mins on the tonight show and did not see if freeze. I'll give it a try tonight and see what happens.

Just seen elsewhere that there is another set of configs. Not tested but if anyone wants to try them. Always have a quick check through them to see if there is anything that should NOT be there.
Thanks to kegnkiwi I finally got this sorted out. 9E, 5E etc all working again. Unfortunately I am using VTI image as I need the CI+ functionality for a Fransat card. Off topic I know, but if anyone has a better solution to CI+ I'd be delighted to know it!
A quick google search shows oscam can open fransat cards. Config below.
[reader]
label = FRANSAT
protocol = internal
detect = CD
device = /dev/sci0
mhz = 450
cardmhz = 357
caid = 0500
ident = 0500:041950,041960
aeskeys = 0500@041950:xxxxxxxx,0500@041960: xxxxxxxxxxx
group = 1
auprovid = 041950,041960
cccreshare = 1
emmcache = 1,3,31,0
blockemm-unknown = 1
Or other people are saying ncam opens fransat with this config below.

Thanks Kegnkiwi for posting openvix oscam emu file. I have tried to install it but get the message "found non standard softcam" and it won't start. What am I doing wrong?
Hi satcat I really don't know but I do now from a personal point of view I can never get on with vix images. everything seems hard work. There are other ways to install files such as installing the levi45 plugin or satvenus plugin and then hope they have updated their servers with the latest oscam. I checked on levi45 on tuesday night and it was the old file but its been days since I looked.
I tried to fpt it to temp file and then "install local extension" that didn't work. So I tried sending it to usr>softcams and changing attributes to 755 thats when I get the error message.
It does state that it is an openvix file........
Its an ipk file which does go into the /folder and you said you have a solo2 which is a mips box not an arm box so it should be the correct one.
I can't understand how to load this oscam emu file.
If I try to open it with winrar is says "the archive is either in unknown format damaged"
Help!!!
You do not open this file it is sent as an ipk file and you simply send it to the /tmp folder and install via the install manual plugins which you have done. If it does not work then there is either a problem with the file or a problem with your image. Attached here is a file which allows you more addons and softcams. You install it just as above by sending it to your /tmp folder and install manually. Give it a try
If anyone else wants to try it it gives a good selection of cams to choose from for various images.
if its a rar or zip file, use 7zip to extract the files
an ipk is ftp to var/tmp and installed from the box user menu (the ipk installer option)
i alo cannot install keep getting error messages cannot over write ,and others .tried vuzero4k factory reset,without restore settings ,but find 4 different oscam settings are still there and cannot be removed,and work with lines ????????????????????
tried loaded that levi45 file and loaded the oscam emu mips from it. Everything went ok until I tried to start it. It wouldn't!
I guess I must have a bad file somewhere. I think a fresh complete image install required.
Tried a factory rest,box went off now stuck with vu on tv screen,remote does nothing,tried to reflash openvix, but will not, front of box flashing,is there a vuzero4k factory reflash or does box have to go back,it has been doing strange things in the last few days
You can try the original image, from the vuplus website:
Code:http://code.vuplus.com/
Alternatively I'll upload the Black Hole image, for the Zero 4K, which you can try, it'll take a few minutes.
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?177907-Black-Hole-3-0-6
brain cells must be going,when updating the vuzero4k using usb....box off ...usb in ..box on ...box front ..flashes dimlyslowly ....then bright flashing. but box wont work untill usb is removed... now starting from scratch and scanning sats,,then hope the reset has cleared out the old oscam files.
Here is a link to pur-e2 images. Very nice looking images.

Found the same oscam emu ipk file on another site and this one works.......
So have you got afn working. Oh and to just make it interesting there is an even newer version of oscam out late today. Its is rev 773 and has hash mode 17 and 18 which i guess is for people in the far east.
I’ll have to do some reading on this guys sounds very interesting indeed
I had a similar problem to Satcat although with VTi.
The solution was to use the 'Install IPK with force over-write' item from the software management menu.
Very interesting I wast reading about what u have just sed on an very interesting inter site about the same subject actually very interesting indeed very educational for this fantastic hobby
re post 94 above (Fransat) I gave it a go without success but it prompted me to dump VTi in favour of OpenATV which I prefer and which retains the CI+ facility of VTi. Oscam PV set up again after overcoming ATV's oddball approach to oscam file locations through editing /etc/oscam.emu to point to the usual place.
Thanks again
JK
So glad i did not waste my money , BISS Auto Server been OFFLINE for a month already
now no further updates for PVU so far ...
Think i will just buy TBS5927 which will do much,much more than any china box ever will :D
Auto biss was working well for me on my Viark Droi today.
Not used my Viark Sat HD for a week or so.
reported on other forums that there is a problem,some people having to press start up to 10 times before it runs
I have since found that it does start itself if left alone for a while.
Of a night I put my box into deep standby and have the power timer set for 8am for it to wake up and go to standby, and when I come to switch it on, mid morning, all is well.
Only took one minute to auto update this evening after not using my box all week.
The key update EMMs cycle through the UAs in numerical order. The full cycle takes about 50 minutes. There is a few minutes pause and then the regime starts again. How long it takes for you to get a hit depends upon the number and values of the UAs you have in your softcam.key file and also just when you join the AU EMM cycle.
If you are lucky, one of your UAs will be just slightly higher than the UA value currently been sent and the AU will happen quickly.
If you are unlucky and all of your UAs have passed then you will have to wait for the cycle to start again and the AU could take possibly 30 minutes.
If you can organise your softcam.key file to have a good number of well spaced UAs you can minimise the wait time.
The UA range is from about 001xxxxx to about 006xxxxx. I believe up to about 15 UAs can be employed.
