Stay on topic
What a waste of time this topic was ! ill go back to sleep now and dream of a AZbox that actually does what it was made for ...... USELESS.
I read in other forum that enigma 2 is ready. True or false?
Thank you in advance.:respect-051:
False. The library was out few days ago. IMHO with some effort and opensat support programmers can make enigma in a few months.
I really can not get my head around why people are still posting in this thread, all that it does is annoys the people who have read from post one to now just to discover that its a load of waffle and hype.
Yoda
PS: I am more aware that I just added to the thread...
So in conclusion, it now has at least one team that develops enigma 2 on azbug.
Pending further ....:cheers2::cheers2:
the box was dead in the water from the start
the box is not dead - IT DOES ALOT.
you guys don't give the box any credit
A question off topic...
Is there a price for the 1 who post the 1000th post ?????
greetz
The AZBox is at the moment viewer's box. Not a tinkerer's box. It does what it says on the tin. It decodes SD+HD sat channels that you can watch.
I seem to remember before buying my DM7000 that the firmware was as buggy as hell and that only really improved when the enthusiast teams picked it up. Without those teams the Dreambox would now be a distant memory as well.
When I asy it's not a tinkerer's box I mean this: I used to spend hours mucking about with the DM7000 trying this and that. Just tinkering for the heck of it. With the AZBox there's not much to tinker with so now I actually spend time watching the telly using it instead - Novel eh?
With the available sources the SDK and plugins emerging I believe this will change. Enigma 2 may come, it may not. If it is in development I wish those that are developing it the very best of luck in your endeavours.
It's also a damn sight cheaper than the equivalent dreambox and (as far as I know) you can't get ripped off with a fake one as it hasn't been given the chow mein treatment.
Because of the above I don't think the AZBox is anywhere near sunk. If it had 1/4 of the support that the Dreambox has had by the enthusiast development teams then it'd be a very strong contender.
