Dear friends,

Here is the working version of em8634dvb.ko file.

I tested with all FTA channels on Astra 19.2 e , You can ask with any other satellite with FTA channels. Enjoy :)

This driver is for Elite/Premium.

Premium+ driver will be published soon ( stay tuned, next days )

Replace old em8634dvb.ko file located in :

/lib/modules/2.6.22.19-19-the_ripper/extra

with new one which i attached to this post.

Please post Your opinnion and so on.

Known BUG is that on the first channel ( FTA channel ) when receiver is turned on that there is just audio, so just zapp to another FTA channel and there will be no more problem :).

This is experimental, but works enough well that You can watch FTA channels :)

Also i put Don@ channel list , and used simple configuration with one satellite :)

Well, we really dont have time with that, this is just for test, and we will make later new pre-beta version. but for now it is good that some of You can do it by this way.

I think most of users can do it normally by this way.....

People asking us for tests, now asking us to make new version of Enigma 2 with all files included and so on... give us little bit more time, and all will be organised.

Hello,

This doesn't seems to work as long as you have to pass through a DiseqC switch.

If I don't define any DiseqC, I am by default on Hotbird 13° but I cannot see any picture (except the boat ;-) ).
The menu indicate that I have a SNR so signal is coming to the Azbox but no image.

Switch to another FTA channel, you should have image...

Try DW Europe or DW Arabia, I am on Dubai TV now :D as it is near DW Europe :D

Yes is possible.

Channel List Dreambox E2 and AZBOX E2 are compatible.

ok.. no services on Hotbird (13.0E).. The previous driver made an exellent scan with 1805 services.. with new one no services found maybe i made a mistake... Obviously I don't hope in a full working system, I'm just testing it also for help you in debugging. If you have questions about my configuration or lnb etc just ask.. ok?

Hi,

Same problem here.

I install a brand new E2 on my test Azbox (so no boat display).
I scan the Hotbird channels with it and it finds all the services.

I upgrade with the em8634dvb.ko you publish today and I reboot (now I have the boat), but no image on FTA channels and even EPG is no more working.

My LNB setup is: simple - DiseqC A for Hotbird 13° and DiseqC B for Astra 19°

If you need some trace please just describe the command to launch and I will send you the result.

Hi again,

I revert the em8634dvb.ko to the first one that you publish, the one that shows us the boat for the first time and which also avoid the crash when accessing the A/V Settings and with this one I can read the EPG information.

I always test between DW - TV Arabia and DW - TV ****** like you advice me.

So it seems that something else is broken in the very last em8634dvb.ko

I download the new one twice and transfer it to the AZbox with 2 totally different FTP program (FileZilla and DOS FTP command) so I don't think that this problem is due to a file corruption.

exactly the same with astra 2 28e.

old driver - full channel scan and epg

new driver - no a/v with the scanned channels, tried rescan and cannot get a lock with the same transponders.

Ok, here is the same: I've got the boat, no problems in A/V screen, but no epg informations and noting to see in fta..

28.2e is working on fta, just ftp a e2 chan list, change tuner confiration to show 28.2 then zap ,wow very quick .

zap speed is same as dm500 on 28.2 fta ,epg gets alittle confused with itself ,is fine though, volume when u turn it down on remote ,it turns itself up again, slighty to much colour.
is a ok though .and chanel list seems unlimited like dm500/800
