Timeouts

Now got it all connected as explained (I 'hope'!) but getting loads & loads of '7023 timeouts'!
So still not opening either JSC Sports 1-10 on 13E, OR C+ Nordic on 1W!
Assume its USB/9 pin null modem adaptor into laptop USB, set as COM port 1 and other end of 9 pin null modem into back of TM6900HD Super - and not all other way round?:iamwithstupid:

Bit later, now saying 'jcs sports 1 open' - with JSC Sports 1 selected, but still not actually opening it!

C+ Nordic 1W

Latest news:
Got several channels on C+ Nordic 1W working fine, will have to rescan some as long time since last open with M2+ card!
Still nothing opening on JSC Sports 1-10 on 13E for some reason!:respect-067:

Yes was using today's latest file - and just gone away from 1W on which even the HD channels working, albeit a bit jerkily from time to time, but gone back to JSC Sports which are ALL now working ok!

Sorry mate, but all I can now get is C+ Nordic 1W - and thats stopping & starting all the time - even more than before!
But NO JSC Sports or ART on 13E!;)

(may try going back to previous file in the morning!)

Well it wasnt working last night at 1115pm mate - not on ANY of JSC Sports 1-10, or ART on 13E, only a few C+ Nordic on 1W!
Maybe it was due to the late hour? All I was getting were 'timeouts' or 'not open' messages on the little black screen on 13E! I tried them all for over 20 mins without success!
Trying it again now at 940 am this morning - and lo & behold its all working perfectly, so weird eh?

vague description? if you can not unpack the file: use 7zip:

you should have a dos window opening showing a lot of current day and time stamps.
last line should show plain sssp-client 127.0.0.1 granted (tuner, au=0)
if you have SSSP enabled in your receiver and selecting one of the channels you should have other messages appearing

Hope this is still working. Have convinced myself that it's worth buying a USB/Null modem adapter for the laptop to get use out of my 6900!!! :)

Thats what I did for mine mate!
Now working fine - JSC fine with few freezes, but 1W there are quite a few for some reason - for ME that is of course!:respect-050:

Can anybody direct me to a store that has a USB/null modem adapter for my laptop. I have a 9 pin cable but don't fancy dismantling the PC and taking it to the living room! Tried in Belfast today but no luck.

yes it convert your usb port into a serial port via the (usb to serial adapter)

which then alows you to connect your null modem cable.

make sure the serial adapter you wish to purchase supports your operating system

Eg a friend upgraded his pc from xp to vista some time ago and vista drivers weren't supported on the disk that came with the adapter, i got past this by searching online for the appropriate drivers and all was well in the end, but ideally you would wish to avoid the hassle.

check your timings (ms) on the dos box if these are to great you will have freezes.
Animal Planet on 11229 H SR 24500 check websites like KoS or lyngsat to see what channels Canal+ Nordic offers, no guarantee all of these open

DOS as from in the old days (M$ Disk Operating System) it is the command line window opening (black and white text). The timing issue is between the C S server > internet > and the receiver. below 1000 ms should work below, 300 ms would be good, above 1000 ms is to slow. Nothing much we can do about this on our side.
