again, i can't confirm all this rumours, but i just got confirmation 75% of what i said is true...i just hope it's lindvbapi..i wish.
firmware should be out really soon, since a reseller is getting it at the moment.
There are 3 possibilities;
1. We keep our traditional firmware and we get Enigma. I think this one is unlikely.
2. We get a brand new firmware based ( or with possibilities from ) on Enigma and later there is a chance we get enigma ( if they can let it run ).
3. Everything will stay as it is.
I would put my money on option 2. Just read what Fatgiant says and keep your ears open. That makes my conclusion ;-)
I guess nothing will happen... just new rumors...
Dear friend we have all realized that the firmware is in the hands of beta testers that that's why they exist, it is better to wait a day or 2 and leave without problems bigger than just how to run snapshots and then hear the criticism of the usual ...
Good.
I acknowledge also the firm already left for the hand of a few.
In the afternoon leave feedback if you know some news.
some beta testers post on other forum
For a half word wise is sufficient.
For those who only see DREAM forward. The 500HD has been a good shipping.
I like to dream \ az as I stated. Wins the cheapest / feature
new fw released today. none of these changes seem to be incorperated :S:S:S
will install it to check for sure
So hfmls was partially correct :)
New firmware came out March 17th but the rest....
I hope that rest will be true as well
hihihih 0.9.4625 is out but no surprise no ...no ....
hahahah
medmed you are wrong the surprise was that we realy thought
there was gonna be a bugfree firmware
Hi,
About the E2, the information at this moment is, that it isn't possible to implement.
About a new firmware, we are still working on the present one, we hope to see improvements on it quite soon. That's all I know.
Thanks.

This is true.So no new firmware no enigma 2...
No enigma 2 definately.
fatgiant answered on official forum.
So i see a flood of azboxes on **** soon!
Stop dreaming never going to happen.
Quote:
Where has any of you heard us saying anything about a bug free firmware?
Where has anyone seen us talking about E2 on AZBox?
We haven't made any of those announcements.
What we say is that we are trying to improve the firmware. And even if release schedules are right now a bit unpredictable, they are still happening and improving something.
Everything else is pure speculation.
So, this thread is closed here. And any other thread opened to discuss speculations will be deleted without warning.
So......
Happy ****ing.
Hi,
does anybody have this 2 files? http://s.pudn.com/upload_log_en.asp?e=2068028

TYPICAL OF OPENSAT!
Opensat a feckin usless. back track on promisses. this box will never be bug free. Fat giant is oviously a skinny midget ! with these types of comments...
the only FAT Giant is HUGO who is sitting in his office counting his coins and thinking who can i rip off next!
That's an appalling statement to read from opensat.
I like my box, but with the lack of new firmwares or firmwares that don't really address any issues I really though Opensat must be working on something 'big'.
Sadly, after reading that statement I can't see the box getting any better, I've simply lost faith in opensat.
when I bought the box I believed it would be open source, what's the point in having a linux box that is closed?
Despite alot of potential, I fear the box will die.
I'll keep mine for now, but will keep my eye out on something that does exactly what this box is suppose to do.
There are some things that are absolute requirements for software development to ensure quality:
- Every build is run on a clean machine (I should NEVER see "kevin@kevin-laptop" in /proc/version)
- Every build runs through a set of build verification tests. If the build does not pass these tests, or introduces new bugs (regression errors), the build is rejected. Yes, that's right: that build is considered to be too bad to release.
- Before any build is released to customers, it is run through a function verification test. This shakes out any bugs, all of which are addressed before releasing the software.
- Any bug uncovered by a customer is treated with the highest priority. This means that all development stops until it is fixed. At the very least a developer is given the job to fix that particular problem, and (s)he does not look at anything else until it's done.
Using the agile methodology of "release early, release often" does not mean "release crap": every single version released to customers must meet a minimum quality level. To ensure that it does requires rather hard-assed management - if a developer is gung-ho and commits a change that has not been thoroughly tested, the manager has to tear him/her a new one - such behaviour does not do anyone any good.
Opensat should be aware that this constant criticism affects morale of the employees, and this in turn affects the quality of the product. Consequently, by not addressing the software quality problems which are clearly a major problem, the vicious circle continues: bad firmware->customer complaints->lowered morale->worse firmware->more complaints->worse morale-> ...
I bet Opensat has high employee turnover - if I worked in that zoo, I'd run!
I download that files,
thx @all who sends me the links
1000+
Let us hope for the future.
P.s
Thanks all the community for their great help.
Maybe we should anounce this thread the unofficial azbox support.
I have seen more advancements on this thread over this month as i have seen on official forum.
eat dust open and sat, close and sat up. lol
somebody told me that a picture means more than thousand words. so that's a gift for us azbug users. :)

You asked for 2 weeks we gave you a month.
Now you're asking another week.
Just admit resellers are no reliable sources.
Forget this story you just f&ck*ng other peoples brains because they want to believe it.
I already replied in this topic on 10-02-2010:
Only sources you have are some resellers ( not even your own )Quote:
Did you check these "sources" yourself?
Thread can be closed
Everybody forget this madness, only time when it will happen is when The_Ripper finishes something but for now we"re are far away form enigma(like) firmware.
I say once more topic can be closed
In german myazbox forum gigacam write (he is boss of impex - distributor of azbox in germany)
I try to translate thisQuote:
ein bischen noch geduld.
Beim AZBOX Firmware es gibt neuigkeiten, wir brauchen bischen noch Zeit
zumbeispiel bibliotek system wird eingefügt dfb Xserver solche sachen, damit ist die sw nicht mehr an nanox gebunden.
Damit können wir von der E2 jeder plugin ins azbox sw instalieren
für die TV Bereich sowie EPG oder Umschalzeiten sind wir auch am arbeiten
So I think it's really true, the rumor of E2.Quote:
a little more patience.
There are news about AZBOX firmware, but we need a little more time.
eg.: In bibliotek system dfb Xserver is inserted, so the box is no longer bound by NANOX software.
So we are able to install each E2 plugin into azbox sw.
We are also working on for the TV area and EPG or switching-time.

mmm what about the other treat here i started a long time ago about the celrun firmware ??
there where files inside that contains fb directfb.
because the original firmware from celruns iptv boxes works with directfb.
maybe that is easy to inplement to the azbox firmware.
@Kanber
we can sit and wait for opensat but we also can work together
and get ride of that funny nano-x server and inmplement directfb our selfs .
we even have the module for directfb from the celrun firmware.
em8xxxfb.ko.
so maybe we can work on that.
hoi alcomys,
Hier de laatste sources voor de SMP en direct fb access.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/t1j8ml
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ne9gex
Hoop dat we hiermee verder kunnen ;)
Groeten
mmm interesting files this.
if i understand this correctly when i look at the files
this is to implement directfb for sigma smp.
am i right ?
so we can forget the silly nano-x server and try to replace it with directfb. and i think we are able to use enigma2 plugins on our azbox.
thanks.
:bowing-036:
i have also found in this files
inputdevices folder that there are inputs also for dreamboxremote/
keyboard/dbox2remote etc.
so we can work now on this to compile it for the azbox.
:respect-040:
This a treasure.... I think sigma won't be very happy :)
There is everything in these files.
I will try some things with my limited knowledge this weekend
Time to have fun....
maybe this is useful too hxxp://wiki.opentvix.com/Sigma_Tools
Can someone explain what exactly these files are
and what can be accomplished with these files so we average users can understand?
There's a topic about these files please ask there.
Stay on topic, so far you guys are listening to a reseller again!!!!!
These files are not creating E2 guys
imagine your car with broken tires. now it have a decent one.
tho. you need some time to change it.
Opensat should hire U guys!
Let the compiling begin!
