No. Not working.Quote:
does it have the standby button working already?
ty in advance.
I am still stuck and cannot go back to original firmware or load latest E2 for premium plus, I have tried reverting back using Back to Original Firmware from the first page, but keep getting "update not found" when I telnet the command:
OpenDreambox 1.5.0 AZBox
AZBox login: root
root@AZBox:~# ./update /MMP/backup_kernel
-sh: ./update: not found
root@AZBox:~#
I don't get a IP address on reboot so cannot use Azup either although I do know the IP address of the box but if I put this in and try to update I get the message "no rescue mode!!!" "put patch bin on your USB stick reboot AZbox and then try again"
Anyone had the same messages and can offer advice please...thanks.
James.
Thanks about this info. Maybe if you define a different freq. for RF modulator on original firmware, you can use that setup in E2 when you load it.
I mean, a example: if you put RF modulator working at ch34 on original firmware, when you change for E2 RF modulator should be working at ch34 too (I think!).
If you can test it next time you change your firmware, I'm very thankful (I cant test my Azbox because I'm far from home).
Regards
What actually happens when you do this:-
Use any original firmware patch.bin file in the USB
If you leave the USB stick in the Azbox with the patch.bin file and reboot, it should boot in Rescue mode and display the IP address of your box in the VFD.
Then you can use AZUP.
Hello,
You are not in rescue mode, you are in normal E2 mode.
Simply insert a USB stick with "patch.bin" not "azbox-0.9.5020-patch.bin" and reboot.
So at boot rescue mode will search for and detect "patch.bin", then you will see the IP in the VFD, start Azup.exe on your PC and complete the IP address and press update.

To use usb keyboard and mouse there is one kernel module missing: uhci-hcd.ko
Needed modules are: hid.ko uhci-hcd.ko usbhid.ko usbkbd.ko usbmouse.ko
I've compiled uhci-hcd.ko. The mouse is working in Qt Webbrowser. The keyboard is recognized but not working.
Maybe, my module is not 100% compatible to the_rippers kernel!
* modules compiled by the_ripper + uhci-hcd.ko
* copy the 'misc' folder to '/lib/modules/2.6.22.19-19-the_ripper/kernel/'
* make
* reboot the box with connected mouse/keyboardCode:depmod -a
* all usb devices are listed in
someone is able to use the keyboard?Code:cat /proc/bus/usb/devices
I attached uhci-hcd.ko module
@The_Ripper
Could you build cifs module if you have some time?
I have not big USB flash to play movie on E2 AzBox without this module :(
Thank you in advance!
I'm glad to see E2 get better and better with every new build!
Good luck
maybe this one helps
@onzifonzi
CIFS is allready enabled inside kernel.
Ohh thanks ...
I'm a stupid guy
Here is syntax for mount windows share:
mount -t cifs \\\\IPofWINDOWS\\sharename /media/net -o username=user,pass=password
But is there any issue with MP? I'm seeing black screen and no sound when play(green button) avi file from mounted share :(
mount - t cifs.....
