connecting hyperterminal

hi there my spider 6000hd is in a on and off loop im trying to use hyperterminal but can not get it to connect any help please

Hi Hyperterminal works very well with Windows XP...i have used it many times to reflash broken Spider6000 boxes.. if further help is required i can post further info.

thanks mate im using windows 10 and I just cant get it to connect at the very beginning im sure if I could get it to connect it would work fine any ideas

Hi Not sure about windows 10 but have you checked the following:

1) Are the cables connected properly between laptop and Spiderbox.
2) Does Windows 10 have COM ports
3) In Hyperterminal have you set the correct paramaters
4) before you start the Hyperterminal session make sure box is powered off
5) When you press the spacebar do you get any messages

I know Hyperterminal works fine on XP and is easy to setup. Can you send details of the paramaters you are using so i can check against mine. Regards
