I ran a port scan against my (new yesterday) receiver. It is accessible using FTP and telnet. In both cases the user name is "root" and the password is blank. It also has a Web server, which only currently provides a minimal front page.
Sounds like you made the same mistake as me and put the IP address into your windows explorer bar instead of the search box. You must click start, search, search for computers and then enter the computer name in the search box as \\192.168.0.??? (whatever is your ice ip). Once you have done this you will be able to browse all the ice files after putting in user name "root".
or use any ftp program like flash fxp ( like I do )
