guys anyone suggest a good lnb single feed for my 1.2m dish.
anyone using the Invacom Single LNB, 40mm Feed, 0,3 dB
The standard advice is to use Inverto Black Ultra (often called IBU for short). I seen many tests and the Inverto comes out on top most often.
I have 3 single IBUs on different dishes and one twin IBU - all the dishes perform as expected for the size of dish and location.
Where I have been able to compare other LNBs with my single IBUs, the IBU always comes out on top, but I haven't compared it with all the other LNB makes available now.
I have an Inverto Black Pro C120 on my 1.2m solid prime focus dish as it had very similar spec to the Inverto Black Ultra LNB (IBU) that I have on my 1.1m mesh offset which had great results as Burnham says.
Few years old now so not sure newer LNB's have made any advances.
Old C120 thread here if that's what you after otherwise IBU as above https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...ht=#post886938

Agreed.
Inverto Black seems to be the best and most reliable although my experience is only with the quad version.
cheers guys i bought the inverto black ultra on a well known site for 12 pounds, will be installing it tomorrow
My inverto black ultra has just failed after 15 years exposure to the worst the uk weather could throw at it. Replaced it with a technosat single 00.3db unit sourced from Germany. These come well regarded and has improved signal strengh on all sats on a motorised setup.
Will report back in a decade or so when it fails (they all do eventually)
Heat Cold ice snow wet wind, extreme exposure to sunlight radiation, the LNB doesn't fail but the cheap plastic cap on the feed eventualy goes brittle and cracks letting the elements in.
If you can see the trouble coming you can fix a plastic replacement on the end and it will carry on working, I bodged mine about 5 years ago and its still ok, most peeps don't spot the damage coming because the dish is on the roof or wall high up untill its to late.
The cheapest are usually good enough unless you are trying to pull in the Martian channels.
For the record I have a very cheap TM-1 Gold. About a fiver. Works perfectly.
