Is there any chance you could please include the Russian channels in hotbird 13E? Perviy canal and rtr channels? They used to be in a free to air section along with other Arabic channels.

All those channels are still there m8
They are not under the favourites sections though
If you call the list up on your screen & select the sat (13 East)
Scroll through & you will find everything broadcast on Hotbird 13 in alphabetical order

I'm new here and from Holland and I'm sorry I did not read all 23 pages in this thread first, but I have only 1 simple and perhaps silly question about the beautiful settings:
I see a file for the sats on 13, 19 and 23 east. Not with 28 too.
28 East isn't in that file or am I mistaking?
And if yes, why?
Because I have the idea that in England everyone would prefer to have 28 in the tuner too.

There are 4 different settings 3 of them are with 28.2° East
but yes,in the settings you are asking for it´s not included

If you download & use the european ones that should cover everything you need
If there is anything you don't need just delete them

But I'm totally surprised that you make a file with the most important sats for Western Europe and don't put the 28 in it.
I'm 100% sure that satlovers in Holland want the 28 in it and if it's not included they don't want to use the settings. And that will be the same for the Germans and I can't imagine the English wouldn't prefer the same.
Why, as an Englishman, put a setting in your tuner without the English canals?

I've made settings-lists myself during a long time and I can tell you that at least in Holland there are 3 favorit lists:
1- Sats 13, 19, 23 and 28 (most favorit)
2- Sats 19 and 23 (only for the Dutch)
3- Rotating (for the real freaks)

The x million Germans would leave the 23, but would want the 28 anyway.
And most people don't want to take the time and the effort to remove all the sats they don't receive or use.

I think you can get x million more people using your settings by including the 28 in the file, for I know it's a favorite combination ashore. Many people are looking after and waiting for it.

By the way, I hope you don't have a problem with me posting your settings on a Dutch forum like I did before (although they don't download them many times because of the lack of the 28).
If you do, I stop posting them.

No thats not a problem to repost them elsewhere- as long as you don't charge for them
I do this for free in my own time as a way of giving something back to the community

Re adding 28 East to that list is not a problem
Just ask away with any suggestions

It wasn't done before because no one else asked for it

Of course I don't charge for your settings; I just place them as catseye-settings because they're yours and not mine. The settings I made just to help people till 2015 for the Maxplus and ClarkeTech tuners were placed by others on several forums too.

Adding 28 to that list will bring a lot of pleasure to many sat watchers.

From start of the month sky sports new sky sports 4 and euro sports 1+2 have all went down on the box. Is this the channel list or something on my side. I'm running 3 diff vu duo boxs and vu duo2 box all off.

Its down to Sly changing the encryption on those channels
As long as the signal is fine then its nowt to do with the box

Yea ive read it there. I can now get sky sports 4 and sky sports news on diff feq to ones on the cateyes list. But looks like none the others going to be back anytime soon. Infact looks like more channels will start to go dark.

just downloaded the new 28.2 settings on a vu solo but there is no sound on hd channels unless I change from ac3 to nar

Which channels are you referring to?

Not sure why, but in the 'Satellites' list quite a few (not all) of the satellites on the western horizon appear duplicated in the list. The eastern birds all seem fine. I checked the 'satellites.xml' and they're not duped in there. I remember the first time I noticed this a while back, and it was just '0.8W' that was duplicated. Anyone else have this issue?
