Samsung tv - Network is not connected

I can't get two of my Samsung TV's [ES8000] online today. One is wi-fi, the other one is wired. When I turn the tv on and start Smart Hub, it reports an error that there is no network and to check my Internet settings.

When I go to Network settings, the tv can't seem to get online, no matter what I do, even though my Internet connection is great, but my tv's can't get online at all. Also, it deleted almost all of my tv apps from smart hub. I'm starting to think that it's a global issue rather than my home network. Has anyone else experienced any difficulties with samsung tv's today?

Strange, just yesterday my 8000 was slow to react to some apps.
I even went to the bother of re-crimping my rj45 plugs !!!!.
    Seems fine today.

Maybe Samsung's ecosystem is hacked, cause they usually put on a notice if there is any maintenance planned.

So assume it MUST just be Samsung issue ONLY, as my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone connects fine - just completed a Speedtest on it and been in Playstore - then on Panasonic TV it connected fine to YouTube etc, so that brand is ok!
Hope it soon clears up for you guys!

Update: All third-party apps (e.g LMod player etc.) will work, only the apps hosted on Samsung servers don't work. One can use Lmod and similar third-party players to watch IPTV until this is sorted out, hopefully soon.

A reported fire which has caused the smart hub to go down. I'm sure we'll be back soon. That would be the second time within a year then, in April last year there was a fire at Samsung backup data center which caused a similar problem.
Only certain apps. Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer no connection, ITV player and Channel 5 does connect on the 8000 series!!!
It's the same in the USA.
Stranger still, all connecting on C6530 series Samsung’s

Can now confirm this problem is worldwide.

Just as a matter of interest, do the Samsung phones NOT use same server, because as I said above my Galaxy Note 3 has worked fine all day with internet connection?

Well, Samsung phones use Android OS which is stored locally and installed on the device, wheres the TV OS and apps are stored on the remote server.

    Update:
Besides the Samsung Smart Hub outage of yesterday, also Sony’s Smart TV platform is down; the company has confirmed the issue. The issues are affecting both TVs and Blu-ray players and due to its popular apps like Netflix and HBO don’t work. Earlier yesterday the PlayStation Network was also down for a while.

So, i have 2 Samsung smart tv's and one is connected and working and the other is not! Both share same router so obviously different tv's use different servers.

I think they have different servers for older tv models that use different set of apps.

How can it be a worldwide issue? Don't they have different servers in different regions?

Not saying it was a hack, but they are not saying what has caused the problem.

We need a hack that would allow people to have smart hub and apps saved locally onto a thumb drive. That way we would always have access to installed apps regardless of the status of the remote cloud server. It's a similar thing with Nintendo WII platform. One can save apps onto a SD card and run from there whenever needed. Samsung apps are in the .ipk format, so it would not be an issue to store apps locally, as long as the tv "knows" the path where to look for apps. Simple hack and it would be very useful.
