Does the 6000HD have the hidden menu option, like other Spiderboxes? If so try pressing 1111, to open it.

To get extended Menu options goto Menu / Others and press 1111, this will give you 3 extra options at the bottom of the list.
Go to ‘Network’, scroll down to IKS and press register OK, will then show Connection Status as Connected and expiry date.

Menu - System Settings - Software Update - S/W Backup - Select option 'User Database' - arrow down - arrow right - add a new file and press OK to this file to save your channel list .

In the thread link and the message 'Do not load an All Backup file to another 6000 as it will erase the mac code' does this mean a channel list from the other receiver or another settings file, it appears a very important tip and just a bit confused?

The answer to your query is in the link in post#5. please learn to read the forum:

Patch Loading. Please note : Only use Spiderbox 6000HD Patches and Channel lists, all other model Spiderbox files are NOT compatible.

Hi Aldo. I did read post 5 even made a copy of it and understand about other spiderbox channel lists not compatible with the 6000 as different hardware/software but that was not what i was querying but obviously i have not explained it right.

An All Backup file is just that, all the data, using someone else's channel list is not a problem, providing it's from the same model receiver.

Thanks Mickha for the info i understand now as all i meant to say was if i get a second 6000 i can transfer the channel list from the original 6000 without it effecting the mac code which i thought it would not but just wanted confirmation. Also a further query to post 5 is the first link posted still available as nothing happens for me when i try it?

I have just amended a corrupt link for you

and stickied the aldo + jbvideo tutorial

    try them again

you should be able to use any 6000 channel list datafile on any 6000 , including any new ones

its the ALL BACKUP you cannot transfer between boxes as it contains the mac code

    Yes,select image backup .
You do not use latest patch that's why it is a little diferrent .
After saving your channel list ,use latest patch :
