Video Memory Controller "Error 1"
(Message comes from the microcode of the chip firmware)
99% likely a hardware failure occurs!
Comes mostly through improper use of a BDM interface ..
(with tool slipped, cable set incorrectly, BDM modules placed on board, etc ...)
It's time to throw your 9600 into a skip!
ive still got 2 working nokia9600 with dvb2000 on them good box
never used a BDM interface,it looks like curtains, thanks xanadu
you could try holding all the three buttons on the front panel and then powering the box up untill it say "Erase" on the display. Worth a try considering you have not connected a bdm.
good luck
I love the N9600 (and N9500) with DVB2000. I would love for a new HD reciver to get this good (support and great developers, I know there is DMM but they never had the charm that I liked from DVB2000) I really LOVE the simple interface and all the great debug information.
Bloody Hell that is a old box[ nokia 9600] Think I have one in my Shed
I have one in my cellar!!
I've still got my 9200 in the cupboard
Me too in Attic!!
Dude66
me too, in the attic, up and running!
Hi
Thought I'd kick this one up again. How much I loved my 9200,9500,9600's
Spent hours programming that chip in the Irdeto cam to get it to clear more. The DVB 2000 S/W was great, wonder what Dr Overflow is up to these days.:respect-040:

I always assumed that the people invloved in Dr Overflow set up Dream Multimedia and gave the world Dreamboxes.
You are wrong
Dr Overflow had the initial idea for a dreambox, but they probably didn;t get the funds to do things in time,Dream Multimedia used the idea to make the dreambox.(off Dbox2)
Dr Overflow continued developing DVB2001,firmware that you actually see in Triple Dragon,as a result,a very good machine.
Over time,Dr overflow as a team split up,Uli Hermann left the project, while Micha Rainer continued.(all this under ARMAS)
Triple Dragon support is now given by Tony at hysat.(after ARMAS left )
This is more or less how I remember it,some people surely can correct me.
I have seem Micha active in forums.
I also have couple Nokia's and a Triple Dragon.
