    Flashing problem

    Hi!
I have problems flashing my new dm800. I use the web interface for flashing and selects my image file. After that I click the Flash! button and everything seems fine but after a while I get a timeout and a "Page cannot be displayed" message.

I connect to the db through a router from my pc. Any ideas?

do you get the flash progress bar in web browser when flashing ??

once it reaches 100% you will lose the page if refreshed. [well i do ]
once flashed, you then have to re start your box

It's solved. I had to install a newer bootloader (#70) which did miracles

I never got the progress bar. Thanks anyway.

Was you trying to install Nabilio 0.5 by any chance ?

I came accross a problem with this and did post my findings.

    Updating box with bootloader <63.

You need to install bootloader 70 1st or 0.5 pure image

Pure flash is the latest official release from DMM with the BA built in and a nice boot logo.
No different to mulitboot on any other Dreambox.
Always best to have the latest but basic image in the flash and run the rest on a USB.
It saves screwing your box up.

so it kind of prepares your box for the main image??is that what you mean m8 + barry allen, also might sound daft to you experts but why would you need more than 1 image,my box hasnt crashed or pixelated once in nearly a week,

but why would you need more than 1 image
You don't really but I guess many of us like to look at or test other images to see how they perform.
In the early days of dreambox you would find big differences such as an emu would work in 1 image and not another which was common and we just tried all images until it suited our needs.
These days most images are very stable and not much between them so it comes down to personal choice more than anything.
