    router cable lead?

i used to have a visionnet connected to the net. now i got rid of the receiver a long way back but still have the cable connected from the dsl router to the living room

i would like confirmation on the router cable that i used to connect the vn to the internet is it a cross over or straight threw?

im trying to figure out the way to ftp to a dreambox 500 and im certain that a cross over cable is required.

    cheers

A router to a device (Dreambox 500) requires a standard cable.

A PC to a device (Dreambox 500) requires a crossover cable.

[Some routers will detect the cable type so it is worth trying to use your existing cable whatever it is].
