    Hi,

Just before you go slating the so called high quotes you have received just take into consideration what an installer like myself has to pay out before i start a job, Van for transporting equipment, Fuel, Public Liability insurance etc.... then theres the time on site at someones house you could be there an hour or even longer, And if its motorised i don't just align for 1 sat and leave it most installers will adjust for the weaker badr4 on 26 east and viasat on 4.8 east so you get the best signal on all sats.

So in my estimation £70 - £100 is not bad for whats involved, I bet your horizon meter cost about the same as your quotes secondhand. Fair play to you for doing it yourself and good luck.

well worth doing yourself if you have a ladder or ground install . ive used a cheap beeping meter and have good enough signal on most sats i need although to get 26e and 7w any better i will need to get a decent meter.
