    method 1)
    - Setup your router to behave as dhcp server
    - enable the box as dynamic dhcp client (=auto obtain IP from router)
==> now your box is part of your LAN

    method 2)
    - read the MAC address of your box
    - setup your router to assign always the same IP address to that MAC address
    - enable the box as dynamic dhcp client (=auto obtain IP from router)
==> now your box is part of your LAN

    method 3)
    - use method 1 first
    - your box receives all necessary info like gateway etc
    - change your box to "static IP" identical as the obtained one, leave the rest
==> now your box is part of your LAN

In none of these cases a password is required, it's just "getting it to being part of your LAN" by entering the same LAN-IP domain (usually 192.168.x.x)

It's not any more difficult as that.
