M8 i Have a Samsung 40" HD1080p tv and it is ace would recommend it i got mine from Currys and it was there for over£1000 but Dixons had it for arround £675 and we had it for the dixons price off them. that was december last year so i'm sure you would find the same in Amazon for around £600 if not a little less but they are good.

Panasonic plasma's with freesat are all the rage now. Not sure what price you can get them down to.

We decided to be as future proof as possible when we bought our Samsung series 6 HD TV in the summer but could have saved hundreds by taking an earlier series model. Deals everywhere if you were happy with a series 4 or 5 TV.

could have got it cheaper i had a quick look and its £733.06 else where dont know why people bother with plasma tv's they use 4x the amount of electrice than a LCD or CRT screen and produce alot of heat 3x plasma tv would use the same amount of electric as 12 lcd's scary thought : the only plus sid to plasma is the colours tend to be brighter but a top lcd can match it a sammy series 5 or 6 LCD tv will be better pictur wise than majority of plasmas and use alot less elecric so if you bough LCD at a good price your saving £££s on the cost of the TV but also saving £££'s on your electric bill compared to a Plasma

    ps just had another look http://w w w.buy digital.me.uk/Product-show.asp?BigClass_Id=9&SmallClass _Id=186

dixons sell the same tv for only £696.40 with free delivery .......

also checking out the speccifications on the tv contrast ratio is 30000- 1 majority of the series 6 sammy lcds are higher than that at 50000-1 so picture is actulay far better on the sammy series 6 tvs too
the series 9 samsung lcds are amazing

    Samsung LE46A956

The latest LCD technology from Samsung.
A Full 1080P HD TV with Ultra Clear Panel and 2,000,000:1 contrast that delivers superior picture performance, dramatic contrast levels and express actual black levels. The new seires 9 features Auto Motion Plus 120Hz, DNle Pro technology, and TruSurround XT. It comes with 4 HDMI, 2 Scart, USB 2.0 and PC Input for easy connection. does anyone know of a TV at that this sort of price with anything nearing that spec wow £1,441.90
