echolimk el777 wont connect to pc
Firstly i wud like to hello to every body, hello every1
basicly im having abit of trouble, i have and el777 and no matter wat i do it just will not connect up to my pc with an r232 cable. im using ALIMUPG52 and all i keep getting is
Please power on your STB.
Open Serial Port..
Sync to serial port..
Target not connect or target is error status!
i have looked everywere to see if any1 else has had this problem but there is never an solution, any help would be awesome!

Make sure it the correct type of cable.

As above and try a dedicated serial port not the usb to serial. I have a usb to serial and it will program the tm1500 but it will not program the el777.

yea tht was the problem lol soz to be a pain but ive loaded the keys files in and i amd still gettin the $ sign is this rite?
Hi mate menu 2020 for cas enable and menu 2121 for au enable, hope this helps

ive reset it to default and loaded key file in to the box, i have open cas and turn au on but still getting scrabled channels! im a newbie to all this and anyhelp would be grate
Just a quick question what satellite are you on and what channels are you trying to open.

im usein a sky satellite and all the channel tht can be opened
Hi mate,
You will not be able to open any channels on that satellite other than the fta channels. If you are on 28.2 east for uk sly that is. You will need to turn your dish to 19.2 for premier, or 13e for polsat and 1w for digi tv. In fact you may need a much bigger dish for 1w.

There is no possible way for you to get sly with your receiver. These are the packages open, but it will mean moving your dish and getting a bigger dish for digi tv.

so wat ur telling me is tht these box'es only open german channels? it has picked up every sky channel there is but the just scrambled! there no way or getting round this?
Your receiver will pick up all the sly channels but it cannot decoded them.
The other packages use a different encryption method that is hacked.
Premier is German but it also carries english audio on many channels. ie. movies direkt. plus football with english commentry.
Polsat is polish but carries very little english commentry.
Digi tv is mainly in english.
These are all on different satellites and you will need some way of moving the dish between the three. You sly dish will not be big enought to receive digi tv.
