    channel lists

Hi, just bought a darkbox hd.
it is already programmed with a channel list. i would like to do a rescan,
but first would like to save the existing list to my pc so i can go back to using it if i prefer.
is it possible to do this and if so how?
as i understand there is not a channel editor avaible for the dark box.
    unless i am wrong!!!

    thanks in advance

This is a simple operation, insert your stick press menu and use the right volume key to find USB.
Press "OK" you will see three folders select CH data press "OK" now press the green key. You will see "data backup" press "OK" now give your channel list a name and go to ok on the keyboard. Press "OK" on your remote and wait for the receiver to reboot.
    All done.

If you prefer I will post my latest channel and favourite list in a few minutes you can use that. Simply enter your longitude and latitude in place of mine if you have a motorised dish or edit it to suit your installation.

thanks for the info Jimihendrix, as u say simple when u know how.
hope u can help with another question, one i know has been asked already on here but i still do not have the solution.

    ITV HD.
trying to make up my own uk channels fav list with only the channels i can receiver in my area (nr valencia)
when i do a scan BBC HD, CH4 HD all ok.
but no sign of itv. hd.
i have read on other thread about putting in the pids and searching, which
i have done and it finds ch-a. but just a blank screen.
    the parameters i enter are:

    11428 h 27500 2/3
    dvb-s/qpsk/off
    vid pid 3401
    aud 3402
    pcr 3401

and it finds ch-a ok but nothing there.
however when i use your channels list itv hd works ok.

so why can i not enter it in my own list?????

again thanks in advance to anyone who can help

Ok glad with my list you can receive ITV HD (I can never find anything worth watching on this channel) the reason you can't find it is it shows under a stupid name something like 1500 instead of ITV HD. I had to rename it in my list.
When the Darkbox finds a channel it can't identify it name it CHA.
    Your transponder details are correct.
If my list works you can edit out any satellites you don't want.
