i have an old pace poistioner 36v which drives 1.2 channel master dish .
it as no memory or way to tune in. so it takes a lot of messing around.
will a vbox be self tuning or should i go to diseqc.
thanks

WELL!!!!!I DID HAVE A OLd PACE FOR AGES THAT FINALLY DIES.. IADMIT I PHONED A MAT WHO IS A SAT ENGINEER,,( as a job) he got me a v box and i am so impressed.. he tuned all the sat birds( i could never have done that) hotbird etc.... and it goes to each one so quick ,, the box is quite cheap £35 apx... was well pleased...
the vbox is great.setup and then forget its ever there.
the only downside to one is that it doesnt like certain high frequecies such as the one used by TV4 science fiction and TV4 guld on one west.at this frequency the vbox causes the picture to break up.but apart from this,as i said they are great.ian.
not sure which positioner you are using
i use a pace msp200r which can be programmed and fine tuned.
i did have a vbox but it was the earlier one which eventually broke down
i have a channel master 1.2 dish and actuator.
i suppose the vbox may be more convenient but havin already got the msp200r
i could not justify the added cost of the vbox 2
Ive just ordered a vbox to move my gregorian dish as my old echostar 3600 is playing up. Keeps missing pulses and also getting the odd motor error message. Think there is a problem with the flash memory on the receiver as a factory reset lets it work for a while.Ive had to buy a vbox with the optional 5v for my dish motor.
Monty look at my site there is a mod. to do simpel and good
