    Echostar 3000IP - signal strength

My trusty old Echostar has suddenly developed very varied signal strength between satellites. For the first time ever I have to realign the dish to get a signal when I move he dish (not every time - Astra to Hotbird is OK, but further west is not so good. It's OK, but wondered if anyone else had a similar problem, or even better, a solution!!

    Cheers

    Attilla

I had something like that happening to me with my echostar. Turned out to be a problem with the motor not the echostar receiver.

Thanks for the reply. I suspect I've got a similar problem then - it's weird as the signal strength shown on the menu does not correspond with the strength indicator on the channel when exiting the menu!

Hit and miss but it still works. I'll live with it for a while.
