Sony S4000 LCD TV's breaks cover

Sony have unveiled their latest series of LCD TV's, the S4000. Available in 26in, 32in, 37in and 40in sizes, the new panels feature Sony's 'draw the LINE' design concept which focuses on clean and subtle design lines.

The philosophy behind 'draw the Line' is that simple clean pared down design offers minimal distraction for the viewer while still making a stylistic statement.

All of the new panels are HD ready, with the 40in version offering a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution along with 24p True Cinema mode. The largest screen also sports the latest incarnation of Sony's picture processing technology, Bravia Engine 2. Other models in the S4000 range feature the standard Bravia Engine.

All of the new screens come with 3 HDMI inputs and feature a claimed 33,000:1 contrast ratio. The energy conscious among you will be glad to hear that an integrated light sensor dims the S4000's backlight in darker conditions for less energy consumption while an Auto shut-off function turns the TV off when there is no input signal, entering standby state.
