if you mean by settings the patch.softcam, chn lists etc
these can all be loaded on the box with a memory stick
you can use a null modem cable and the v187 to do the above
if you mean something else please post back.

Just got this info from another forum:

yes you can drag and drop, with the memory stick in the computer
I right click IE: on the patch and on the small panel that opens i go
to [send to] then i left click removable disk[e] and the file transfers
to the memory stick. after this put the stick in the receiver press
the usb button on the remote and go to data transfer and click the file and load on the receiver following the on screen info. after the receiver has re-booted i remove the stick. and to save any confusion etc: i put the stick back in
the pc and delete the file and clear the stick for it's next use.

I hope that this is of some help to you

The channel lists for the 5400ci+usb is quite easy.
first you can load a cndf or ndf file
the ndf is from the 1000 series
the cndf is from the later both work.

these files can be edited and changed using clarke tech editor
    load them to usb
    go to menu
    usb
    data transfere
    choose the file

No Download Channel list on TM5400CI

No Download Channel list on TM5400CI, only UPLOAD in the Data Transfer menu. Does anybody know how to download the channel list to usb stick to save. Has anybody got a Download menu showing. Or do I have to do it via laptop & null modem & TM Loader. Any help appreciated! Hope this is correct to post here or should I have started a new thread. Streetburner

Yes the TM5400ci+usb. What I am trying to do is save the list that I have edited on the reciever to my usb stick incase there is a problem at a later date,zz then I won`t have to delete all the rubbish ones off again. thanks for replying.

When in there just hit the green button
it will save the cndf file auto to tour stick
if you load clark tech editor to your pc you can then play around with it.
