ITV HD kicks off with Euro 2008

ITV HD officially launches this weekend.

Program guide on ITV website is now listing those programs being shown in HD via the freesat red button. First one is the 2nd Euro2008 match on Saturday :gnorsi:

Unfortunately the Canadian GP is not listed as being HD

BTW: BBC is also showing their matches in HD

One thing that I have noted is that ITV HD is not listed on Lyngsat. Even the test frequency is not there and hasn't been listed. Could be a good thing that when they finally start broadcasting on Saturday then other HD receivers might be able to pick it up. Oh well heres clutching at straws!

I think ITV HD will remain in it's existing form as a stream for official Freesat receivers, where they will have the red button option to watch ITV HD.

If you can't get it on your non-Freesat receiver now then nothing will change I think.

I have to agree, can't see why they'd test in a different format to what they actually intend to broadcast in. If you can't get it now, then i think you're out of luck! (Myself included!)

No broadcaster has access to the F1 HD feed this year, you'll have to wait for HD coverage next season.

Yep but only the games that are on BBC TV. So about half won't be available on BBC HD and only on ITV HD. Should have bought a freesat.

Today (Sunday 15/6/08) the format changes, so ITV have two matches on at the same time. ITV1 and ITV4.
Wonder if they have made arrangements for ITV4 HD, anyone?

Yes the point I'm making is, will ITV4 and BBC3 also be in HD?

I got a bit of break up too mate, not too bad but was there. Think it was something to do with the feed from the ground as the HD adverts were fine. Nothing to worry about for you my friend! :respect-051: Im using Hummy 2000 btw..

Hummy 2000 yesterday had multiple pixelation throughout the game. Many people on Digital Spy reported the problem. Looks like it was ITV-specific as other broadcasters taking the same feed did not have issues.
