1000 Series Channel List to 5000 Series

    Hi

Has anyone tried (is it possible) to use a 1000 series channel list in a 5000 series machine? I don't have the latter STB and prior to buying one wondered if the two file formats were the same / compatible.

    Cheers guys

    Yes.
It will copy straight accross and works a treat.
Copied from my 1500super to 5400ci+usb
I did mine via usb stick, but can be done via serial as well, when you try the other way it does not work ( ie 5400 to 1500 this is because its gets compressed to a cndf)

Load the latest techno software for 5400 then, factory reset,
    load latest magic patch.

Then go into reciever and turn sat back on if you have lost it, or use clarke tech 3.07 and add it in as my list is very specific to what i want and dont want i use the later and keep it updated the same way
