THE tochMod guys really doing some good work - all looking good if it all works!

Software is very early, but its looking good already. Just Imagine being a thousand miles from home and all you need is a WIFI connection to make / recive calls almost free of charge.

Yes it works on Ipod as well But as I have BT Broadband I get 250 Free WIFI minutes with OPENZONE so I still have 5,000 unused minutes. SO via WIFI I turned the iphone into a SIP phone and can make and receive free calls as long as im in a WIFI area. With EDGE your always on, 3G will be the Dog's...thats coming real soon.

Used a Orange UK GSM SIM right away after unlocking it so can choose any package I want. Must say the deal on offer from 02 is good with the little known fact you access 24/7 to EDGE. Being on EDGE 24/7 your be able to talk for ever!

Watching Movies on the Iphone is excellent. Using HandBrake 0.9.2 (_http://handbrake.fr/) Attachment 24170 Just Select your Movie Source and select iPhone in one of the presets and you can rip a DVD or convert exsisting rip for iPhone use.

Today is the Apples SDK Software conference and they giving dev.KITs for software kits to engineers for free - SO we be getting some great games/app's for iphone.

10 day's of iphone heaven - Managed to get only SKYPE running. The VOIP program aint happening yet. But Skype calls+ Chat work fine.

Also whats good you can take a Picture and upload right away to Flickr

Hi Applemat,

Just out of interest, what is the battery life like on your phone? Do you find that you have to charge it every couple of days after reasonable use of the phone/mp3 player?

with firmware version 1.1.4 the latest apple software -- there have been moans that battery life now suffers. Ive only had for 2 weeks so I can say too much.

If I give it full charge then take out for the day seems to last most of the day ...just! So I bought a Car USB charger from apple.. So with full use of ipod/phone/internet I reckon 6-9 hours.

Yikes! I was expecting it to be a little longer than that, however it is in line with the battery life of the iTouch that I have.
