    PSU supplier

    Hi All

    my mate's humax 5400z is dead, I suspect the PSU is had it (6 years old ) I wondering anyone knows a place, I already have a look in the E--- auction house, it did have lots of it, now it seems all gone, any suggestion will be appreciated. cheers

    There is/was a kit available to repair these. If this helps for 2 components that fail
    ZD3 = 30v, 1 watt
    R21 = 100ohm fusible.

    There is a repair service available where you have already looked.

    I know from other posts that a lot of people repair their own PSU from the components list in the stickies

    I changed a PSU once (cost me 25 quid at the time) then repaired it myself after that..

    have a go at fixin it yourself as posted before in this thread as its easy

    just make sure that you replace all of the caps as well as the zener
    for a lasting job

    you will also have the satisfaction of doin it and the bits u need only cost less than a fiver

    I had replace it once before for an other mate, than buy the part is easy and cheapy from auction house.

    I shall contact humax in N Ireland and send me one, interestly i google it, found humax psu made and supply as far as Korea and hong kong???
