    Sky HD and Sound

Guys can any you recommend a sound system for sky hd ?

I have never ever messed with sounds but feel though I am missing out on the true beauty of sky hd and ps3 by not having a decent sound system.

I know I need a system with optical input but having spent the last hour searching net I am none the wiser.

    Anyone help ?

    Cheers

    Keano

Good question, don't mind a couple of hundred but I do understand that the top systems cost best part of a grand.

this gets good reviews and better to start low. this sound business has gone off the wall and the more you read the more you think you have to pay. try this as a starter and then as you get more know how listen to other systems in the shops.

    Hi Keano

Do you have any HI FI Separates allready if you do have your own speakers that will do you for the time being spend as much as you can on the right amplifier. I bought a nuts one 8 years ago Yamaha DSP A1 they come up on **** all the time and it really does perform loads of optical inputs for the digital sound. A HDMI socket is not necessary if you buy a quality HDMI switch and plug everything into that.

Thanks guys, I do have some old techics speakers somewhere from my youth I can dig out.

So if they are OK all I need is a good amp ?

I'll look at the sony too.

    Cheers
