Icon7 How to keep a LCD screen clean ????

    hi
look all thru my manual but there is no mention on how to clean the screen of my panasonic LCD tv 'i have had a little mishap due to my grand childrens sticky fingers. would like to remove them so CSI cannot use the evidence.anyone know what's best these are just sweat type marks not jam etc but are visible when set is switched off.Do not want to end up with a smear all over the screen.

From cleaning computer LCD screens with success -- I use Distilled water (Water from kettle -- dont use very hot water !) and some very fine tissue.

First I would use a small amount of d.water and clean the screen wiping off all the dust marks. Then I would use more tissue and use more water and clean again.
You get a nice shine at the end also.

Like fook would I use washing up liquid on a expensive LcD! Just use hotter water maybe till it comes off. Last case Id use a small bit of washing up liquid!

Personally, I use lint free micro fibre cloth (similar to camera lens cleaning cloth). No need to use any kind of fluid and removes finger marks etc vey well without marking the screen at all.

Thanks for the replies some very amusing .I normally stand behind the screen so my missus can't see wot i'm doing.did try and lick it off but got stung by the wasp that had settled on the jam.
distilled water seems a good option as do the sreen wipes
    cheers kegrka
