Ferguson HF-8800 HD - first HD rec with emu :D

This receiver is available in Poland - price is 340euro. I believe it is first HD receiver with emu software available, also fully functional channel editor. It has 2x CI slots and universal card reader. I think my humax prhd1000 will be replaced very soon

    Exclamation HF 8800 HD Conax..

Looks very nice BUT it can only hold about 3500 Channels..
which nowadays is NOT enough ...
Seems the only draw back for me..
There are HD Receivers out there with a Capacity of 10.000..which is definitely enough for the next few years.
But they are ALL different and I suppose its what you really want it for thats important as to which one you get..
The EMU is very tempting though...!!
    Cheers
    Andrew

Good support from this HD Reciever - and very fast and picture quality is unreal.

ive seen screenies of this box using newcamd and radegast servers connecting through the serial port so it looks promising atm apart from the number of channels it can store.

I got fed up waiting for a decent linux HD box so this will do I think until one comes along.

Can someone point me to a good download site and/or forum for this box, preferably with English, without breaking forum rules. A PM will do nicely

I would appreciate any or all info from members regarding this box.
