    Using cwfinder

    how do i find which pid to enter?

    I have downloaded the ts file from my triple dragon and it lists the audio and video pid.

    When I enter the pid number and then load the ts file the output file i get is CPU support MMX and SSE2 instructions...
    Using SSE2 CSA library...
    File open ...
    Searching for two scrambled payload TS packets ...
    ERROR ->END OF FILE.

    anyone got any tips ?

    Thanks.

    Usually means the '.ts' file is corrupt or not valid. Ensure that the channel/recording was actually encrypted whist you recorded it, many channels use Biss encryption on a part time basis.
    Check the file size property value ie: 2MB or 3MB is sufficient for your search process program, faulty /corrupt usually readf '0MB'.
    Use a channel eg: RAi Africa or RAi Asia on Hotbird to prove you CW prog is working.

    Eventually yes, whereas the famous 'Hash' thread needs lines of hashes to complete a working key syntax to clear the encryption.

    Sorry,I've to question: CWFinder is ok also for search RAS code (RAS is to professional encryption system made with to key "7 digitses" 1257AB9 for example...) of many encoded feeds in this type of unknown professional coding.
    Tks in advance for the possible answer.

    CW Finder searches for fixed Control Words from an encrypted '.ts' file, cannot be used for RAS.

    BISS (CW) is not recognised by most as a secure encryption whereas RAS is.

    Thanks for your interest in the subject.

    Tks for the answers and RAS/NTL professional encryption uses only 7 digits and always only numerical.
    Sorry for my bad English,but I'm an italian and I use a translator.

    @ old man

    Correct and RAS is the house code of TANDBERG recievers only they can use it.

    Not a normal reciever.

    And also not all Tandberg can use it my 2800 can do it.

    I make a thing:knowing a RAS number,I begin the search with CW finder.
    Well:after few minutes the program found a number in hex form.
    This number as no connection with the decimal number of starting RAS code
    and putting this number in BISS decode window of CW finder ,I had no
    decode of transmission.I think that there a connection between this two system with fixed keys(BISS and RAS),but I don't know the connection.
    Some ideas?

    How do you check if the RAS number is correct?

    Anyone got the firmware for the Tandberg?

    Is there any info how to 'expand' those 7 digits to the 64 bit used for decryption?

    (As compared to the well known simple way to get them from the 12 digit CWs used anywhere, including BISS.)

    Simple:one of my friend has a Tandberg encoder.So I generate a code and after I look what happens with CW Finder!
    But it is not possible to generate all 10.000.000 of codes,looking what happens with CW finder every time!!
    It should be very interesting to understand the connection between RAS generated code and what I found via CW Finder.If someone has some idea .
    It should be necessary to find someone who is able to work with CSA .
    I can help him giving the number of some RAS codes.

    I forgot to tell that I have also a ALTEIA TANDBERG receiver with RAS and BISS decoding facility.

    What version of CWfinder has a "decode window"?
    (And you have pm.)

    @dejandj
    Do you mean CSA or RSA?

    CSA=Common Scrambling Alghoritm.
    I explain:I start from 000000000000 in CW finder and I find(fortune!!) a number after not a too long time.The version is 0.91.
    I have a long experience with video analog scrambling and I solve all problems
    many years ago.I should like to solve the Biss problem (too long research) with the same system I used for analog system:reducing the number of researches excluding not possible zone of research.This is a long thing.
    I should like to have pm messages,because it is very difficult to explain my idea and this is not (it seems) the place for too long explain.
