Do i need to get the installer in

I have a one metre channel master driven by a heavyduty 1224 supermount h to h motor its mounted on a 3inch pipe sunk in concrete, a real solid job thats been up for three years with no problems. Suddenly im getting no signal from all sats except Sirius where it picking up a few channels, i have changed the LNB. Is there anything i can try before calling in the installer he is the only one in the area that does motorised and costs an arm and a leg. Any advice would be appreciated.

First try re-connecting the LNB - make sure there are no shorts in the "F" connector. Second check your LNB position in the holder - skew and distance from dish. If the old one was ok the new one should be as well. Check the LNB settings in your receiver haven't changed and suite the new LNB. It's just possible that the new one is U/S. If the dish has lost alignment then the easiest way to re-align it is with a meter!
