It's bad enough watching Tamworth in person, never mind HD.

    BBC Logo burns the Screen!!

    Hi,
Has anyone else noticed that with the BBC continually showing their HD-Preview programme they always have their Logo showing but only "very lightly" on screen. I can only presume that this is to perhaps save screen burn on Plasmas??
And yet when they show a football match such as todays FA:Cup, they always leave a very bright logo on the top left of the screen. This is small and shows the time played, the teams and the score etc. However, the brightness of this Logo is way too bright and if left on screen for the full 90:minutes will surely cause screen burn on any Plasma???????? Therefore it seems that the only answer is to stretch the screen to a larger size, thus avoiding having this small but very bright damaging time/score logo on screen!

It might be an idea if someone could let the BBC know about this screen damaging item? Because it will no doubt cause a problem for many Plasma's owners in the long run!

    Rgds,

    TB.

Think you're mistaken Tony. Modern plasmas won't get permanent burn in after 90 minutes.

    Screen Burn?

    Hi Isomies,

Well I hope you're correct! Because I have a recent Panasonic and there is a pretty serious warning in the Instruction Book about not viewing any programme which has a bright logo!!

I wish they would shift the score/time box to where it should be, right up in the corner - looks like it is positioned for 4:3 screens not 16:9.

Also - anyone noticed how bad Alan Hansen's dandruff looks in HD...?
