I had a simular prob a while back, I think b4 I loaded files I turned the unit off then on with the switch at the back, Also some key bins that can be downloaded have not been made using version DSR EMU 5.6 which will give you that message, Also make sure you have the correct settings selected, click on the question mark and set to com 1, and make sure its set on humax
Its something to try so give it a go.

Do you want to Export data to 17-Type of File ?
And then :
Error when received Keybuffer is not full,Bytes missing !
I have my Humax 5400 for nearly 5 years and now problemīs are starting.
Anyone can help ?

Hi,
the only thing what is new,itīs a 10 meter 0 Modem cable.
I can use the DSR 9500 with my short 1 meter Cable, what works fine.
I bought that long Cable for leaving the Humax in the Living Romm and so the PC and Humax are permanent conected.
The 10 meter cable works fine with my brothers PC and Clark Tech STB.
So looks like isīt somthing with the Setting from the DSR 9500. What can I cange ?

if you dont have to change settings for the shorter cable to work it is most certainly a problem with the longer cable and not the software

Just a thought.
Are you connecting your 1m cable to your 10m cable. If you are, it will not work. This is because the required "cross-over" is being reversed by the second cable.
If you are connecting more than one Null Modem (RS232c) cable together, you must have an odd number (1,3,5, etc).
Alternatively, use non-cross-over type extension cables leaving just one Null Modem cable in the run.

Hi,
still can not use the DSR 9500 , Ed 5.6
I changed the B.rate from my PC and the Settings I can write to the Humi.
So it must be something with the Settings from the DSR.
I canged alerady the Writedelay to 60,without any sucsess.
Who has the right idea for me,what I can change to make it work ?

I very much doubt its down to cable length..
I have a 20m home-made null modem and it works fine for me..

Try and upload a channel list to the Humax. That will reset the RAM. Don't forget to change the CAID Pre-selct to CARD+EMU
Then try and reload a BIN file.
Also, whay are you pushing the READ button? To upload a BIN file, your have to click 'WRITE'...also your Humax has to be ON

Hi,
sorry for missunderstanding.
As I wrote before, everthing is fine with a 1 meter Cable.
The 10 meter Cable is OK with my brother checked and workes fine, but not with my PC.
All the Firewall ect. are switched off.
Looks like its a Problem from my PC.

modest supermod
hi,
following aslat's post, if you are having trouble loading you could try changing the fastwrite to 0, this will slow the load speed right down so that you can watch the counter tick upwards, this sometimes helps
