    nile sat

    Humax 2000
    I wanted to tune in nilesat so i went from thor and manual attepted to tune it no joy

    i have always been able to get it before on 3 other receivers
    if i start from thor wich way do i head west or east? on remote

    By the way one time when i got signal and searched it was on sirus

    Thor is 1W and Nilesat is 7W so West (right). Where about are you in UK or elsewhere?

    mine went and picked up channels that seem to me belong to hispasat 30w - but only a few were pikced up so not really a replica of hispasat.. so decided not to rescan until the weather is better...a month ago i did manage to get many channels on 7w and could view them but these would drop out depending on the weather (7w is not supposed to beam to europe i believe)

    Thanks for thati live in the north east uk and always got it before weather permiting
    so do i go east or west from thor

    thor is 0.8 west so nilesat is 7 west so i will say west

    yes, go west.
    if u r using a motorised dish then it should move on its own if your receiver has the frequencies already in it, otherwise you have to enter them yourself onto your receiver...
